The Friends of the Urban Food Forest at Browns Mill is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing sustainable agriculture in Atlanta. We believe that by extending your hand and expanding your mind, you can make a real impact in your community.

Trees Atlanta

Trees Atlanta is one of the most widely known nonprofit organizations in Atlanta. Trees Atlanta has been with the Urban Food Forest at Browns Mill since it was created. Since establishing UFFBM, Trees Atlanta has planted thousands of native plants. Trees Atlanta now removes invasive species in the Forest of Food, leads volunteer projects, and plants native edible plants.

Urban Food Forest at Browns Mill Community Garden, INC.


The UFFBM Community Garden adopted the garden through the Aglanta Grows-A-Lot Program in 2019. Members garden communally, sharing harvests with the group and giving excess produce to community residents, Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Food Pantry & Southeast Neighborhood Senior Center. Volunteers also receive a share of the harvest.
