Five Points Farm (@Five Points MARTA) Community Garden - AgLanta Grows-A-Lot

Who: The Five Points Farm, Community Garden team is a member of the AgLanta Grows-A-Lot program. Their purpose is to create a sense of community in the revitalizing downtown area on top of MARTA's Five Points Station (one of the most unique locations in the city) and to educate others on creating an oasis in any sized-home and being able to grow edibles anywhere. Thank you for working with this team to cultivate a more resilient, equitable and accessible food system for ONE Atlanta. 

What: Volunteers will help with weeding, planting, watering, harvesting and doing site beautification projects. Wear clothes you can get dirty in. (Groups are fine - but each member must be signed up individually - and PLEASE SHOW UP!). 

Safety:  During COVID-19 we are limiting the # of volunteers to (30 max), Please cancel if you are feeling any symptoms. Please wear a mask if not vaccinated, and bring garden gloves if possible.  We will use best practices including social distancing and supply hand sanitizer and a hand wash station.  Please bring a water bottle, wear a hat, and closed toe shoes. 

Parking: While taking MARTA is the easiest way to get to the Five Points Farm, there is street parking that is free on Sundays in the smaller streets both north and south of the Five Points MARTA station (be sure to check signs).

Weather Policy: Volunteer days will move forward unless severe thunderstorms occur. Volunteer manager will contact volunteers prior under threat of bad weather.
